Indian Number System and International Number System

 

We have all know about numbers. Some are small digit numbers and some are bigger digit numbers. Small digit number is easily read out but problem is to read bigger digit numbers. Lets start to discuss how to read and write bigger or large numbers.

Indian Number System-

In the Indian number system, there are periods of ones, thousands, lakhs and crores. In the Indian Number System, there are three places in ones period- ones, tens and hundreds, two places in thousands period- thousands and ten thousands, two places in lakhs period- lakhs and ten lakhs and two places in crores period- crores and ten crores.

In Indian number system, the first comma is put after the hundreds place then after every two digits. E.g., 26,78,907

International Number System

In the International Number System, there are periods of ones, thousands and millions. In the International Number System, there are three places in ones period- ones, tens and hundreds, three places in thousand period- thousands, ten thousands and hundred thousand and three places in millions period- millions, ten millions and hundred millions.
