World Coconut Day
In India World Coconut Day is celebrated every year on 2nd September. Coconut Day is also called Nariyal Purnima. It is specially celebrated by Hindus in western India. It is celebrated under the guidance of Coconut Development Board in various coconut growing states across the country. In Coconut day, many farmers from all coconut growing states will take part in the function. An exhibition showcasing various innovative value added products of coconut and newest technologies in coconut sector will be held as part of the programme.
