Every year the entire nation celebrates this day with great joy. Our Constitution came into power on this day, and hence this day is very important for the citizens of India, It is the largest written constitution in the world and It provides for equality and made our country a “Democratic Republic”. People remember the importance of our freedom and it is a National Holiday. On this day many Schools, Colleges and Offices organize many events like Debates, songs, dance, March Past, etc. They also conduct competitions for Essay on Republic Day to encourage students and let them know the importance of the national festival.
Many functions are held in public places where people sing the National Anthem – “Jana Gana Mana”.On this day, we remember Dr. B. R. Ambedkar (the chief architect of our Constitution), and freedom fighters such as Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, and Jawaharlal Nehru.
