Ram Navami is one of the important festivals of Hindus, It is celebrated every the ninth day of Chaitra month. People celebrate Ram Navami to admire the birth of Lord Rama to the king of Ayodhya, King Dasharatha. We all know King Dashratha had three queens, Kaushalya, Sumitra, and Kaikeyi. The first Queen Kaushalya gave birth to Lord Rama. Lord Rama was born during the Madhyahna period which is the middle of the day. Ram Navami is one of the festivals declared a holiday in many states and it is celebrated by the people of Hindu society. It is believed that Lord Rama is the seventh avatar of the Hindu Lord Vishnu. Ram Mandir is well decorated in a traditional way on this Occasion. People wake up early in the morning and clean their houses and the worship place, Also decorate their houses with Toran of flowers and Mango leaves. During all the nine days of Navratra, people sing and recite the religious texts from “Shri Ramcharitmanasa ”, which is devoted to Lord Rama. Some programs of Ram Leela (stage performance on the life of Sri Ram) are also organized in many places. Hindu people celebrate this festival with great joy and happiness all over India.
